All things Spooky!!

Liam and I go to the Local Library to pick out new books every week, and this week Liam was obsessed with Spooky Halloween books. Out of all the books he picked out I found a couple that I believe to be super cute but in a spooky way!

Goodnight Goon! by Michael Rex: A beloved classic gets a kind-hearted send up in this utterly monsterized parody; energetic art and a hilarious text will have kids begging to read this again and again.
Liam has made me and his daddy read and reread this story atleast 100 times since picking it up from the library yesterday!

Another cute one he has loved is Five Little Pumpkins!


He loves to read this one with me... especially the page where it says.... OOOOOOOO went the wind and Out went the Lights!

The last Halloween book we picked up was: Do NOT Build a Frankenstien! by Neil Numberman



I also picked up a few ones I liked to read to him... Im not sure if any of you have ever read Grumpy Bird by Jeremy Tankard but he just put out another one in the series...

Liam loved Grumpy Bird and I love the illustrations and the story is cute too!!

Finally one last one.. I love getting books that have to do with the seasons so I picked up:

The Wonderful World of Errands!

Today Liam and I had to run a couple errands... One of them a treat(the Library) and one of them a real chore (the grocery store).
This is what he chose to wear this morning... and yes it was like 85* outside...

So lets start with the Library! We love going to the Library and do so every Wednesday! Liam loves books just like me and Travis so its only natural that we tend to gravitate to the library and Bookstores!! Anyways so we head out that way around Travis's lunch time so he meet us over there... On the way I tell Liam.. hey daddy is going to meet us over at the library! This is the conversation that happens...

Liam: no he cant momma...
Me: Well why not?
Liam: He is dead
Me: No he is not! He is just at work
Liam: No momma he is really really sick so he cant come!

So needless to say daddy comes to meet us at the Library and is not to thrilled that he is sick or apparently dead...lol The things 2 year olds come up with...

After the Library we head to the dreaded Grocery Store! We shop at Kroger and Liam knows that the Halloween Spirit Store is across the street! So i bargain with him... yep i bribe my 2 year old!! I tell him that if he is super good we will drive across the street and see if the store has finally opened. He agrees. And believe it or not was fairly good which was nice!! We get done with the store in a semi timely fashion, and of course he has not let me FORGET about the Halloween Store...

And in case anyone is wondering It is FINALLY OPEN!! He wanted to go inside really really bad but i reasoned with him that if we did that all his yummy cheese sticks would be yucky and he wouldn't get to eat them. He loves Cheese Sticks(but we don't get them often so they are a treat)! He said that we should go home then and eat some cheese sticks... So home we went!

First time for Everything!

Well I have been reading other peoples blogs for a while and thought hey why not.... So here is my attempt at a blog!

My subject is not an original one but he is pretty darn funny and cute most of the time! Im hoping to get some funny stories and just plain ole life from around are world!!

Some things you will more than likely hear and see are: Fun playdates, fieldtrips, and artwork we will be doing throughout the year! We will have a pretty packed couple of months now that Fall and winter are heading our way!
