Its a Sad time in Liam's World

Thursday started out like any other day for us... We got up, we went to work, we came home.... But by Thursday night we noticed that our beloved family dog, Pippin was acting strangely.  He usually follows me everywhere and this night he was just laying around in a different room.... I got down and tryed to get him to come to me but he could barely get there and wag his tail(Totally not like Pip).  Needless to say DH rushed him to the Animal Emergency Center.... It was confirmed that Pippin had a mass on his spleen that was causing internal bleeding in turn making him weak.  It was the hardest decision any pet owner has to make but we didnt want him to suffer any more than he was.... So late Thursday night Pippin went to find his peace...

It has been a very emotional time for DH and I but also Liam.  He is old enough now to realize Pippin isnt here so we had to tell him he was sick and went to heaven to play with Jesus... He still every so often says he wants his Pippin which in turn flares up the giant hole within me and DH.  Hopefully as time goes by it will get easier but for right now its still pretty hard ... Even just the little things you dont realize you will miss or do when they are no longer around... Like making sure the food is high enough, or him being in the window when you come home..... Just the little things ya know

Anyways Pippin you will be greatly missed and never Forgotten!  You were the best dog anyone could have ever wanted and I hope you knew how much you were loved and cherished!!
