Who Knew!

Who knew I could be crafty... I scrapbook and now I make Hairbows!  It all started when a group of my friends wanted to do a bow swap... I love bows for Maggie and thought it would be fun and non expensive so i gave it a try!  Turns out im pretty good at it!  I will never have to buy a bow for Maggie again and I love making them for my friends little girls and big girls!  I have tried a couple different kinds and i hope to try a couple more soon!

 My first Bow was a bowtie bow...

 Then I did a double stacked Bowtie for Maggie's Easter Dress plus I made Liam a Bowtie to match!

 And My Newest bow... was a butterfly... I didnt really have any cute ribbon but it still turned out pretty cute!

I have also made a cheer pony-o for My friends Daugter but dont have a picture... They are really cute and I cant wait to see them on her!   It is a really fun and easy Hobby and I cant wait to try new and exciting bow types :)

Happy 9 Months Miss Moo!

Yep you guessed it ... our very own Maggie Moo is 9 months old! 

I have no idea where the time has gone but it is surely flying by... before we know it we will be planning a birthday party (what am i saying... i am already planning a birthday party...)   Feels like just yesterday I was pregnant and hating it and now she is growing bigger by the day!  Maggie had her 9 month well check yesterday.  She is weighing in at 20lbs 8 oz, 28 inches long and her head is 46cm around.  For those of you who want to know the percentages... that is 75% in height and weight and 90%  for her head... yep she still has a BIG head. LOL

She is also hitting all her milestones in her own time!  She can now crawl backwards, go from laying on her back to rolling over to scootching backwards into a sitting position, and her new all time fave ... standing when you have her hands...  She hasnt figured out how to pull herself up to stand yet but im sure it will only be a matter of time before she does... So watch out world she is on the move! 

Weekend laziness

It all started on Friday when Liam got to come home from school early since Maliegh was done with work!  He had a great time playing with Maliegh while i headed to the Dr to get some Antibotics... Once we get to picking Liam up he wasnt feeling to well ... Was pretty combative and was running a fever but wouldnt let us take it or give him meds... he fell asleep on the couch while playing video games... Needless to say that won us a visit to the Peds the next morning which also included Maggie who also started running a fever friday night.  Well the verdict was Strep aka Shrek Throat.  So he gets to take some yummy meds for 10days... Maggie was just thought to have a virus or its her teeth... well Saturday was a pretty low key day... we had lunch at Cici's while waiting on Liams Medicine to be filled and then once we got home it was nap time. 

After naptime we took Sunny for her First trip to Petco!   She was such a Scardy Cat about everything!  She didnt like the car ride, electric doors, all the new dogs, or people.... but she got better as we were there longer.  We are just going to have to keep exposing her to new things until she gets totally comfortable.  She did get some new bling though!  She got a new pink choke color with a pretty silver bone nametag!  She also got her very own Gentle Leader since she got out of her nylon collar in the parking lot(super scary).  We are still having to work with her about walking on the leash since she has no expierence with it at all! 

Sunday Travis went over to help his sister and brother in law build there new playset for the twins.  It took a good while but looks awesome and Liam cant wait to play on it on Saturday when we head over for a the first Cookout of the year! 

Once Trav got home we just hung out around the house and watched the Capitals hockey game and had a relaxing end to the day!  

Its Official

Yesterday we had to take Maggie to visit with Dr Salley at Virginia ENT to get her ears checked out.  And like we thought she is going to have to have tubes placed.  This is not a new thing to us as Liam had to have them when he was 3, but again its a semi surgery so it is still a bit scary since she is so much younger than Liam was.  So Wish us luck and hopefully she wont have an ear infection before we can get her in for them! 

Here's to no more ear infections!!!

New Member to BeckerLand!

Yesterday was a big day for us Becker's....  We finally found our perfect Golden Retriever to come into our family!  Thanks to Karlin and her friends she has come to our family.  We feel it was just meant to be since we have been trying to adopt a Golden since January through a local Golden Rescue but have had no luck. 

So without further ado... I would like to introduce Sunny!  She is a 4 year old purebreed Golden Retriever!  She is the sweetest thing ever and is adapting to living inside quite well. 

BECKERLAND

There are a few rules you should know before Entering BECKERLAND....

#1 Rule:  CARDIO-- in order to outrun or to keep up with 2 kids you definately need CARDIO!

#2 Rule:  SEATBELTS-- its going to be a fun and interesting ride :)

Ok so now you know we love ZombieLand... lol

But in all seriousness -- In this blog my main goal is to chronical the fun we have as a family of 4!

New Direction....

I know its been a while since i have posted anything but I am starting a new direction and hopefully it will lead to many a funny story.... I am now going to make this a family blog instead of just about the kids, but be warned most of the things that happen around here are mostly about our kids but there will be some fun adventures with family and friends thrown in there also!
