Things Are A Changing....

Its been a good while since I have been on here and I feel the need to have an outlet once again... Hoping it will help me figure out how to manage this household and all that that includes...

So to get you up to date!  Well at 34 weeks pregnant with M my dr decides to put me in the hospital since my Blood Pressure was super high(On a side note, mom and liam had come with me to this appointment)... We didnt know if she would come that week or not but i had to stay over night to be watched and luckily I just got sent home on Modified Bedrest until further notice and told to come back in a week(for my regular appt).   I made that appointment for a friday since i just had a feeling that she was going to be coming and luckily this time Liam wasnt with us.  So for that whole week I did what i was told... i stayed in bed for alot of it and mom had L for most of it (Thanks so much since we would not have been ready otherwise) and she and Travis pretty much got the nursery done in record time.  Friday rolls around and mom and I head to the appointment with bags in tow just in case.  Well just like i thought my bp was still not looking good for being on bedrest so off to the Hospital for possible induction(but definately more bloodwork).

I call T again and we get L set up with family (a BIG thanks to you guys)  T stays at work until the end of the day since nothing was really going to happen right away anyways... so I get admited to Labor and Delivery and hooked up and poked etc... You have to know by this time im getting pretty excited because i was pretty misrable through out this whole last couple months with M... everything hurt pretty much all the time ... and those of you with multiple kids know you never get to rest like you did with the first one... So we wait and wait some more and finally T gets there about the time the oncall Dr comes in to talk to us.  He told us he was comfortable just waiting and watching and to get comfortable since we will be there for the whole weekend.  Can you talk about the air bursting from a balloon.  We were so ready for her to get here that that was truely a let down i guess you could say.  Nothing to be done about it so we just hung out and relaxed.  The next morning Saturday July 10 the oncall DR comes back in to do his morning rounds and we pretty much got told the same thing that we are still just going to watch and see... well he walks out and literally comes back in maybe 3 mins later and says that he didnt see the test results from that morning and now that he had he wants to start my induction right away.  Some of my liver levels etc were creaping up to the not good level so he just thought it best to get the show on the road.  M is looking great through all of this.  She didnt like the monitor pushing on her but overall was pretty well behaved in there....

So the nurses started the Magnesium which if you have ever been on it you know is not fun.  About 5 mins in i was sweating and HOT from head to toe.  I had to have Mom and T crank the AC up just to stay comfortable.  They also started the Pit at the same time to get my labor moving.  I had decided long before that i was not going to be a brave trooper like i was with L since i was just so ready for all pain(not just labor) to be gone so i told them that as soon as i could get an EPI i wanted it.   Labor kicked in pretty quickly but the pains were so different than when i had L.  They werent in my belly area but instead i would feel them in the area where your leg hooks to your hip.  It was terrible and it felt like a horrible cramp you couldnt get rid of... I would breathe through them and hope the Meds would come soon!  Finally the DR did show with the EPI and this go around T and Mom both got to stay and watch me get it.  T didnt find it as exciting as he thought he would and the nurse jokingly asked him if he needed to leave... Once that was on board i made them aware that i had issues with my body being funky last time i got the EPI so luckily when it happened again they were totally ready and prepared!  Everyone was fine and comfortable finally!  I then decided to sleep since i was finally comfortable and NUMB!

So hours pass and we are all just hanging out... i would wake every so often and get some AWESOME hospital ICE but for the most part was feeling pretty yucky from the Mag.  Like i said everything this go around was worse....  So finally its time to push!  luckily the EPI had started wearing off a little bit so i could feel when to push and literally i pushed 2 times and then the nurse said STOP i have to get the DR she is trying to come out by herself.  She was having to push her back in during contractions since she wanted to be out so much.  Finally the Dr comes running in and they get everything set up since they didnt expect her to be here so fast(and that included the NICU with her being 35weeks).  The Dr said alright 1 more and thats all she wrote... M was born at 8:56pm and came out SCREAMING... The best sound i had ever heard since we didnt know if her lungs had developed or not.  I just remember looking over and the NICU people looking her over and saying she was perfectly fine!  She didnt have to spend any time in the NICU!!!!  They brought her over and let her lay on my chest for a good long time before having to take her to the nursery to give her a good checking over and make sure her body temp did what it was suppose to since she was so little... My little girl was only 5lbs 14 oz and 20inches long.   Oveall the birth was prety good... I had some issues with nausea during but once it passed it was nice.  I didnt have any of the passing out issues with the Magnesuim this time around and was up the next day and even got a shower that night!   L came to visit her the next day and was totally in love with her from day 1.  He even got mad when the nurse had to take her away for a test in the nursery.  He continues to be a big helper and his little Sister loves to follow him around the room and talk to him!

So that is the first installment of how our world has changed in the last 3 months.... I will add the rest of the story when i get a chance but i will leave you with some pictures!
